My Granny in 1943. What a pip! She is still beautiful at 97, and is my Hobo inspiration. I can thank her for my first elephant ride, for reading me Gulliver's Travels again and again, and most especially for "pretend eating" the cookies I made out of mud, rosemary and snails during my brief culinary phase at age four.
My Mom, down on the farm! The original "Going Out Woman", she taught me to be confident enough to travel alone, dine alone and take myself to the movies!
Mom's Mom... one tough cookie! She always did things her way, and was an inspiration. From the city, to the farm, to a tent and an orange picker's shack, she always had that hobo spirit!
My Great- Grandmother, in the lead (of course!). I come from a clan of adventurous women, indeed!
Me n Mom. Best Friends. Forever.
My paternal grandmother again, in an image taken by her father, a beautiful example of a Woman of Spirit!
